Patrick Baldwin

Managing Director and Principal Environmental Consultant

Patrick has worked within the environmental consulting field with various companies since completing a Bachelor of Engineering (Geological) Hons. At RMIT and a Bachelor of Science (Geology) at Monash University. Patrick’s experience has provided him with expertise in site contamination assessments, environmental due diligence assessments and both soil and groundwater remediation, both as a project manager and technical specialist.

Patrick is a CEnvP - Site Contamination Specialist (Cert No. 1190).

In 2008 to 2009 , Patrick delivered a large asbestos in soils remediation project at the Maribyrnong Secondary College site, a project that was specifically noted in EPA Victoria’s Annual Report in 2008 as successful remediation and clean-up management project. An outcome of this project was the development of the Worksafe Victoria October 2010 Guidance Note for Asbestos Contaminated Soil.

Since this time, Patrick has delivered workshops for CCF with Worksafe Victoria representatives regarding asbestos in soil clean up and has provided advice to various industry bodies regarding asbestos management and clean-up.

In 2009, Patrick presented a paper at the Clean Up 09 conference in Adelaide detailing a soil stabilisation technique using sodium silicate type binding agents to reduce lead leach ability where traditional phosphate type treatment had failed.

In 2013, Patrick presented a paper at the Clean Up 13 conference in Melbourne detailing methods and design considerations for In-Situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO) remediation efforts in fractured rock.

Further professional development completed since 2013 includes various CPD courses and seminars offered by ALGA, technology specific training and sessions offered within the industry and participation at the 2015 Clean Up conference co-managed by CRC CARE and ALGA

Patrick through ongoing professional development is proficient with the majority of contaminated land and groundwater legislative requirements at both a State and National level. Patrick is also familiar with many EPA publications, guidelines and standards for attainment of EPA compliance with environmental policies and or environmental auditing requirements. Patrick’s experience has assisted in the provision of project delivery and technical solutions for soil and groundwater assessment and remediation projects at various sites. Patrick is also proficient with the majority of contaminated land and groundwater legislative requirements at both a State and National level. He is also familiar with many EPA publications, guidelines and standards for attainment of EPA compliance with environmental policies and or environmental auditing requirements.
